IPTV channels

Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) allows you to deliver TV channel content over the internet rather than through traditional terrestrial, satellite, or cable formats.

With IPTV Internet Protocol Television, you can offer end users live TV and catch-up TV, which allows end users to pause, rewind, and fast-forward TV content.

The MinistraPRO administrator panel allows you to create, edit, and delete TV channels. You can also change the order in which the channels are displayed by overriding the assigned TV channel number.

To optimise the content for different end-user devices, each TV channel can have multiple output streams . You can also set the storage device used for recording TV channel content.

EPG Electronic programming guides for IPTV channels

You can associate a TV channel with an Electronic Programming Guide (EPG), which provides an on‑screen schedule that displays the list of upcoming programs, including titles, start times, end times, and other relevant details. EPGs are displayed in the TV Guide screen of MinistraPRO end-user applications.

Third‑party providers supply EPG Electronic programming guide data through an XMLTV feed. MinistraPRO stores the XMLTV URL in the backend and retrieves EPG data on a regular basis. MinistraPRO end-user applications download this data from the backend and display it in the TV Guide screen.

In the MinistraPRO administrator panel, you can add an EPG Electronic programming guide, correct the time zone of an EPG Electronic programming guide, and manually update an EPG Electronic programming guide.
