System events

System events are the actions that administrators can take remotely that affect end-user devices.

System event actions include the following:

  • Add, edit, and delete system events.

Information

The time-to-live setting allows you to schedule an event to occur at a later time.

Message events

You can send a message to viewers using a system event. In MinistraPRO, messages refer to the text that is displayed in the MinistraPRO end-user applications.

A message event can also be set to trigger the following actions:

  • Reboot reboots the STB Set-top box after the user selects OK on their device.

  • Post-function triggers an action after the user selects OK on their device.

Message templates

You can use a message template to fill in the message header and message text that are displayed.

You can create a message template on the Events > Templates of messages page using the + Create new message template button.

Reboot an STB

You can trigger an STB Set-top box to reboot after the end-user selects OK on their device.

Information

This event is only supported on Infomir Linux STB Set-top boxs.

Restart an application

You can trigger a restart of the MinistraPRO end-user application on a device.

Information

This event is only supported on Infomir Linux STB Set-top boxs.

Update the IPTV channels list

After you have added new IPTV Internet Protocol Television channels, this event refreshes the channel list on the device.
