Creating service packages

A service package is a collection of content. A service package can contain any selection of channels, VOD, and radio. Service packages can also include modules and options.

Before you create a service package, you must set up the content that you want to include in your service package.

Prevent fast-forwarding

If required by a content provider or your operating region, you can prevent end users from fast-forwarding through TV channel content included in a service package. After you enable this option, you can select the TV channels for which you want to prevent fast-forwarding.

Display unsubscribed TV channels

You can create a service package to display unsubscribed TV channels in the TV Channels list. This allows end users to see which TV channels they can request to be added to their tariff plan.

To create a new service package

End users can only access the content included in their tariff plan. After you create a service package, you must add it to the relevant tariff plan.

  1. Navigate to Tariffs > Service packages.
  2. Select + Add package.
    Get detailed information on the available settings
  3. Select Save.
    Your new service package is added to the list of service packages, and you can add it to the relevant tariff plan.

External ID

Defines the package identifier which can be used by external services.

  • If you are using external services, enter a unique ID.
  • If you are not using external services, leave this blank.
Package Name

Defines the name of the service package.

You can use letters A to Z, numbers 0 to 9, and the following symbols: !@#$^&*()_-+:;,.

Description

Provides a description of the service package.

This text is displayed only in the Ministra Pro administrator panel.

Service

Defines the type of service.

The following options are available:

  • TV allows you to create a package of IPTV channels.
  • Video allows you to create a package of VOD content.

You can filter the list of available VOD content by using the Type, Category, Genre, and Year filters.

For example, to see the list of available TV dramas, from the Category drop-down, select TV Shows, and from the Genre drop-down, select Drama.

  • Radio allows you to create a package of radio stations.
  • Module allows you to create a package of available Ministra Pro modules, such as TV, VOD, Settings, and so on.

  • Option allows you to add the following options to the service package:
  • Restrict access by platform. For example, you can add a restrict_mobile option to prevent mobile phones (iOS and Android) from logging into the account.
  • Display unsubscribed TV channels in the TV Channels list. Unsubscribed TV channels are greyed out and can only be accessed by end users after they are added to their tariff plan.

Full Package

Available only when TV, Video or Radio is selected in Service.

Gives the subscriber access to all of the content included in the service you selected in Service.

This option is available only for content-type service packages (IPTV, VOD, or radio).

Allows you to select the services that you want to include in the service package.

  • If you selected a TV service and want to prevent fast-fowarding, for the channel for which you want to prevent fast-forwarding, select , and select the cross icon.
