Enabling max sessions

Enable max sessions to limit the number of playback sessions an account can stream at the same time.

Max sessions can limit the number of playback sessions for the following:

• Live TV
• Timeshift TV
• Catchup
• NPVR
• VOD films and series.

Multicast streaming is not supported when max sessions is enabled.

To enable max sessions

1. Create a tariff plan.
   Read about creating tariff plans
2. Add a new streaming server.
   Read about adding a streaming server
   You must add the URL of the streaming server or the maximum number of sessions is considered as reached.
3. Open the playback_session.ini configuration file.
   Read about configuration files
4. Set playback_session_enabled to true.
5. Specify the maximum number of sessions.
   1. Navigate to Tariffs > Tariff plans.
   2. Open the tariff plan by selecting its name in the Tariff name column.
   3. In Max sessions, enter the maximum number of playback sessions for the account.
   4. Select Save.
   5. Enable temporary links on Flussonic for all content output streams for TV and VOD.
