Video on demand
Video on demand (VOD) allows your end users to watch movies and TV series whenever they choose, rather than at a specific broadcast time.
When you add movies and TV series, you can make the content available to your end users immediately, or schedule the date on which the content becomes available. For example, you can add a TV series grouped by seasons, and schedule the episodes to be released, in order, on a weekly basis.
To make sure VOD playback is smooth, we recommend using a streaming solution that provides content in HLS and DASH, for example, Flussonic or Wowza.
VOD content organization
You can use screens to organize your VOD content into meaningful categories. You can further group the VOD content in a screen by using sections. For example, you can create a screen for action films that includes separate sections for disaster, spy, and superhero films.
