Configuring audio and subtitle languages
You can define which languages the MinistraPRO end-user application uses by default for streaming content.
The l18n.ini configuration file defines the settings for primary and secondary languages, as well as the languages that the user can select as default.
The application uses the primary language as default for audio tracks and subtitles. If the streaming content is unavailable in the primary language, the application uses the secondary language. If the secondary language is unavailable, the application uses the original language of the streaming content.
Information
The language settings are applied separately to audio and subtitles. You can set language A as primary audio, and language B as primary subtitles.
By default, subtitles are disabled in the MinistraPRO end-user application.
The default audio and subtitle settings in the configuration file refer to the languages that the user can select as default directly in the application. The application prioritizes languages based on the order in which you list them. However, the language that the user selects takes precedence over the primary and secondary languages. For example, if the primary audio language is Ukrainian, the secondary audio language is Polish, but the user selects English as the default audio language in the application, then all content is played in English, if available.
Configure default audio and subtitle language
Configure the default language settings by accessing the l18n.ini configuration file.
Information
The language that the user chooses in the application applies per playback session. The user can change the default language mid-stream, but when the user switches the channel or restarts the application, the language reverts to the default setting.
In all settings, the target language is represented by a two-letter language code. For example, for English, enter en.
Caution
Subtitle settings are not inherited from audio settings. You must define languages in both categories even if the subtitle settings exactly match the audio settings.
