Adding TV series

You can add, edit, schedule, and delete TV series.

When you add a TV series, you can create multiple seasons and an episode structure.

After you add a TV series, to make the content available to your end users, you need to publish the video files. You can also schedule the date on which the episodes of a season are available to watch.

To add a TV series

1. Navigate to VOD > Movie list.

2. Select + Add movie.

3. On the Basic screen, add the relevant data.

4. Select Save & Forward.

5. On the Movie Information screen, add the relevant data.

6. Select Save & Forward.

7. On the Screenshots screen, add the images you want to use.

   Information

   You can upload a JPG, JPEG, or PNG file. The maximum file size is 1 MB.

   We recommend using the following settings:

   • For the cover image, use portrait orientation with aspect ratio 3:4. If you used autocomplete, the cover image may already be added.

   • For screenshots, use landscape orientation with aspect ratio 4:3.

8. Select Save & Forward.

9. On the Files screen, select Add season.

10. In Original title, add a title for the season.

11. In Description, add a description for the season.

12. Select Save.

13. For each episode you want to add to the season, do the following:

    1. Select the Add episode.

    2. In Original Title, add a title for the episode.

    3. In Date, select the date from which you want to make the episode available.

    4. Description, add a description.

    5. In Screenshot, add an image.

    6. Select Save.

    7. To add the video file to the episode, select +, and add the relevant data.

14. When you have finished, select Close.

    The series is added ready for publishing.

VOD details

Basic settings

Setting	Description
Title	The name of the VOD Video on demand. This is the title shown in the device app. The title must be unique within MinistraPRO. You can use letters A to Z, numbers 0 to 9, and the following symbols: !@#$^&*()_-+:;,.
Original title	The title in the native language. The original title is used to retrieve autocomplete details.
Autocomplete	Defines the database used to retrieve the details of the video.
TMDB ID	The ID for the VOD Video on demand on The Movie Database (TMBD).
Category	The category of the VOD Video on demand. Read about Adding categories and genres
Genre	The genres that the VOD Video on demand is included in when a viewer filters by genre. You can select up to four genres. Read about Adding categories and genres
Type	A Single series is a single video, such as a movie or a one-off TV program. A Series allows you to add multiple seasons and an episode structure. This value may be filled by autocomplete. If you select the type before selecting Autocomplete, this value can be used to select the correct entry in the database.
Year	The year the movie was released. This value may be filled by autocomplete.
Period of showing	Information Available only when Series is selected in Type. The years between which the series was broadcast.
Parental control	Indicates if the VOD Video on demand must be restricted.

Movie information settings

The Movie information settings may be pre-filled by the autocomplete on the Basic settings screen. These values are all displayed on the device application.

Setting	Description
TMBD rating	The rating of the VOD Video on demand on The Movie Database (TMDB). This value is entered by the autocomplete function.
Duration	The length, in minutes, of the VOD Video on demand, for example, 126.
Country	The country in which the VOD Video on demand is produced.
Director	The name of the director of the VOD Video on demand.
Actors	The names of the actors in the VOD Video on demand.
Movie description	A description of the VOD Video on demand.
Comments	An internal comment about the VOD Video on demand. This information is only shown in the MinistraPRO administrator panel when editing a VOD Video on demand entry.
MPAA rating	The rating assigned to the VOD Video on demand by the Motion Picture Association.
Age restriction	The recommended minimum age of the viewer.

Add file details

Setting	Description
File type	Indicated the type of file: Video Subtitles Trailers (since release 6.21)
Quality	For a video file, the quality of the video.
Languages	The languages used in the file.
Volume level	For a video file, the value by which the volume of the file is adjusted on an STB Set-top box device. The general volume level of the STB Set-top box is not changed. Information This setting is only supported for Infomir Linux STB Set-top boxs.
URL	The URL to the file location on the streaming server. For example, http://vod-storage.example.com/example_movie/index.m3u8. Tip On VOD > Movie list, the following icons identify the status of a valid streaming link for the VOD Video on demand: The movie or series does not have a valid streaming link. The movie or series has a valid streaming link.
Enable DRM	Enables DRM Digital rights management for the file.
DRM Group	The DRM Digital rights management security group for the output stream. Read about Digital rights management
Temporary link	The encoding used to make sure the viewer has permission to access the stream.
Status	Indicates if the file is published. To make VOD Video on demand content available to watch, files must be published. Read about Publishing VOD content
