Creating service packages

A service package is a collection of content. A service package can contain any selection of channels, VOD Video on demand, and radio. Service packages can also include modules and options.

If required by a content provider or your operating region, you can prevent end users from fast-forwarding through TV content. After you enable this option, you can select the TV channels for which you want to prevent fast-forwarding.

Before you can create a service package, you must do the following:

Information

A subscriber only has access to the content included in their tariff. You must include the service package in the relevant tariffs for the subscriber to access the content.

  1. Navigate to Tariffs > Service packages.

  2. Select + Add package.

    Setting

    Description

    External ID

    Defines the package identifier which can be used by external services. If this is used, the ID must be unique. If you are not using external services, you can leave this blank.

    Package name

    Defines the name of the service package. You can use letters A to Z, numbers 0 to 9, and the following symbols: !@#$^&*()_-+:;,.

    Description

    Provides a description of the service package. This text is only shown in the MinistraPRO administrator panel.

    Service

    Defines the service type. There are five available options:

    Full package

    Select to provide the subscriber with access to all of the content in the Service that you selected. This is available only for content-type service packages (IPTV Internet protocol television, VOD Video on demand, or radio).

    Information

    Available only when the Full package check box is empty.

    Allows you to select the services to include in the package.

    • If you want to prevent fast-fowarding, for the channel for which you want to prevent fast-forwarding, select , and select the cross icon.

  3. Select Save.

    Your service package is now included in the list on Tariffs > Service packages.
